ReadMe_jeffersonModelDataDownloads.txt West Virginia GIS Technical Center (WVGISTC) 24 August 2016 A model-based data set that depicts and quantifies the floodplains in Jefferson County, WV was created by AECOM in 2015 and 2016 under contract with FEMA. The HEC-RAS model data available from the WVGISTC are downloadable by clicking on a link in the results panel of the WV Flood Tool (http://www.MapWV.gov/flood/map) of by visiting the WVGISTC public ftp server (ftp://wvgis.wvu.edu/pub/clearinghouse/inlandWaters/). Because of its large storage size, the countywide DEM has not been included in the separate model download zip files. It must be down- loaded separately from the ftp server at the link above. Metadata and countywide feature data (stream lines, cross sections, floodplain polygons) are included in each zip file. They are also available separately on the ftp site. Users with problems regarding accessing data should contact the WVGISTC: (304) 293-0557 Main Tech Center Phone (304) 293-9463 Eric Hopkins, WV Flood Tool Point of Contact ehopkins@wvu.edu (304) 293-9467 Kurt Donaldson, GIS Manager kdonalds@wvu.edu Questions about the data and methods used should be addressed to FEMA or the mapping contractor, AECOM.
